I am a UK based DJ who’s been messing around in the darker sides of electronic music. Mostly drum and bass & Breaks. I’ve spent most of that time performing rather than writing because thats what I like. I’ve been fortunate and maybe talented enough to play alongside some high profile artists; Grooverider, Ez Rollers, The Scratch Perverts, Red One, Swanee, Raiden and Andy C. But mostly through residencies for the crews I’ve been a part of; Fission and Its all Good, and with the rest of the Impact crew, Rowley, Jynxx, Joker, Joz and the Diverted boys.
My history in the scene began way back in the early nineties as a young teenager, blaggin my way into raves to see the likes of Slipmat, Dougal, Randal and Grooverider. That’s what started it all. Those massive raves with the massive sound rigs. I’ve spent my time since organising the kind of things I like – good parties with good dj’s and a passion for LOTS OF NOISE . Also i’ve dabbled in some live sound engineering a fair bit of web design and pretty prolific compilation mixes and radio shows.
Summer 2005 saw big a step for me, moving into the international scene, playing for Leet Radio (RIP) in Copenhagen, Denmark. The next instalment happened in June 2006 and again in 2007 (twice, including warming up for Raiden). Then again in 2008. (this is now an annual event)
Currently i’m pretty low key, I’m moving more into the breaks scene but as with all things in life the day job gets in the way so i’m struggling through. I am still working on a small number of production pieces for the Impact imprint under the sudoname Rockfall.
Time for some shameless promotion….. If your a kit junkie like me then you’ll appreciate quality, as a dj, quality kit means you can perform at your best. There is none better in my humble opinion than RANE…
I use their TTM56 mixer and the Serato Scratch Live.
