If you have found your way here then you have probably run into some trouble adding the fantastic Boxee media center to your nice new Karmic Koala ubuntu.

Oh and why not have a good dnb mix to enjoy whilst your working through:

As far as I can tell it is not properly set into the repositories so I have detailed below a relatively pain free method for installation.

I am working on the assumption that you are comfortable installing applications from a shell and gui and you will need to do both, so here goes:

1. Inside your gui, download and install each of the following
http://packages.ubuntu.com/jaunty/i386/liblzo1/download
http://packages.ubuntu.com/jaunty/i386/libdirectfb-1.0-0/download
http://packages.ubuntu.com/jaunty/i386/libkrb53/download

2. Add the following line to your sources.list file (do not change the ‘jaunty’ to ‘karmic’, you will just get a 401 error)
deb http://apt.boxee.tv jaunty main

3.  Update apt
sudo apt-get update

4. Install boxee
sudo apt-get install boxee

And your done, enjoy!

So we (Man Utd) were beaten in Rome. By, dare I say it: the better team. United were arrogant and lacklustre in their performance. Rooney failed to show up and the more experienced members of the side failed to drive united from belief to result. Fair play. Lots to learn for them all, and well done Barcelona who were outstanding.

Onto the irritations.

Firstly.
The idiot kebab shop owner twat (no offence to his fellows, I love kebabs) who throws a good looking woman out of his shop for leaning against the glass of his counter. Her behind WILL NOT affect the temperature of your fridge, but us fickle men are less easily influenced by your food, or you, you smelly eye-balling twat. More to the point should you insult a lady in front of me again whilst I am  clearly upset by the said foot ball result. You shall find your self drinking your own vomit from the curbside in which I deposit you. TWAT

Secondly.
To the minority (I hope) Spaniard who found it appropriate and probably amusing to shoulder barge me at the moment I left the miss-managed kebab shop to deposit my untouched dinner all over the road – if I ever see you again, you owe me a kebab and an apology. Thanks to Colin for pulling me out of that situation as I would quite  happily spent a night in a cell for giving the idiot a  close look at the combination of the kebab, the concrete and his own face.

Yes we lost. I stayed right till the end, and clapped as Barcelona picked up the trophy. Well done, you deserve it.

Notes:

Tony,  just because there are no Italian teams in the Champions league any more, you do not have the right to hate everything English.

Gooners, just because we put you out doesn’t mean you should forget that you are English and support the opposition to your own county in this fine tournament.

Learn some respect the lot of you.

After 4 years of broadcasting the mixing of the Leet Radio dj’s, the station has now closed. RIP.
